ACALA hires mining engineers, geologists and industry product consultants who want their work to matter on real Indonesian deposits: feasibility studies, life-of-mine plans, resource estimates and GEOVIA implementations. How hiring works

Application

A CV and a short note on what you want to work on, through the opening or by email.

We look at

  • Projects you have actually delivered, and the software you have used on them.

You hear back

  • Within two weeks, either way.
2Talk

Technical conversation

A call with a principal engineer or the chief geologist about your work.

We look at

  • How you reason about a deposit, a plan or a report.

Format

  • Online, about an hour.
3Show

Case exercise

A small exercise on a real dataset, in the software you know.

We look at

  • Judgement and clarity, not speed.

Format

  • A few hours at home, then a discussion.
4Offer

Offer and start

Terms, start date and the first project.

We agree

  • Role, mentoring plan and the certifications to work toward.

Then

  • Onboarding in Bekasi, then site or project work.

Who we look for

Three things in every hire.

Engineering judgement

You can explain why a plan, a model or a number is right, and what would change it. Software fluency helps; judgement is the requirement.

Care for the report

Every number traceable to data, parameters and a named person. You write so that an auditor or investor can follow.

Teaching instinct

Clients keep the skills after we leave. Consultants who enjoy explaining make that happen.

Job Offers FAQ

Where are the positions based?
Bekasi head office for most roles, with site work across Indonesia for engineers and geologists. Some roles are contract-based on a project.
Do you hire graduates?
Yes, for engineering and geology roles, especially graduates who used GEOVIA through the Academic License Program.
Which software should I know?
Surpac, Whittle and MineSched are the core. Experience with other planning packages counts; we teach GEOVIA to good engineers.
Can I apply without an opening?
Yes. Send a CV and a note to office@acala.co.id with the role family in the subject line.
How long does the process take?
Usually within a month from application to offer.
