What we collect when you contact us, and what we do with it.
PT Acala Genesa Sumberdaya (ACALA) operates acala.co.id. This policy explains which personal data the site and our contact channels collect, why, how long we keep it, who can see it, and the rights you have under Indonesian law, including Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection. It applies to the website, our contact form, WhatsApp and email correspondence, and the analytics we run with your consent. Last updated 8 September 2026.
What we collect
We collect personal data only when you give it to us or when your browser sends it as part of normal web traffic.
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, company name and message. The form is provided by the Ninja Forms plugin and submissions are stored in our website database and sent to our office email.
- Email and WhatsApp: the messages you send us and the contact details they contain. WhatsApp messages are processed by WhatsApp under its own terms.
- Job applications: the CV and details you send for a position, stored by our careers plugin and read by the engineers who hire.
- Training and events: registration details for courses, workshops and events you sign up for.
- Website traffic: the server records the pages you visit, your IP address, browser and the time of the visit in its access logs, which are used for security and rotated automatically.
- Analytics cookies: only if you allow them in the consent banner, we use analytics to understand which pages are read. Choosing “Essential only” keeps the site working without analytics.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote or schedule a demonstration.
- To deliver licences, services and training you have asked for, and to keep the records that a licence or a signed report requires.
- To consider a job application.
- To keep the site secure and understand how it is used, so we can improve it.
- To send you information about ACALA products, training or events only if you asked for it. You can stop this at any time by replying or writing to us.
Legal basis
We process your data with your consent (when you submit a form, allow analytics or ask for information), to perform or prepare a contract with you or your company (licences, services, training), to meet legal obligations (tax, licensing and reporting rules that apply to a licensed mining service company), and for our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to two years, then deleted.
- Client records: for the duration of the engagement and as long as Indonesian tax, licensing and professional reporting rules require afterwards.
- Job applications: up to one year after the position is filled, unless you ask us to keep your CV on file.
- Server logs: rotated within weeks. Analytics data: according to the retention period of the analytics provider, set to the shortest option available.
Who can see it
Your data is seen by the ACALA staff who need it to answer you or deliver the work. We use service providers that process data on our behalf: our web host, the WordPress plugins that run the contact form, the careers page and caching, an email provider, and, with your consent, an analytics provider. Google Maps, embedded on the Office Location page, loads from Google and is subject to Google’s privacy policy. Two typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means a request carrying your IP address reaches Google on every page; we can serve those fonts from our own server instead if that matters to you. Measurement and advertising tags, namely Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, run only after you allow them and are itemised in the cookie policy. Where you subscribe to our updates, your name and email address are held in our own customer relationship tool and delivered through a transactional email service. We do not sell personal data. We do use two advertising platforms for our own announcements: Google Ads and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. Both are loaded only after you choose “Allow analytics”, and both are listed with their identifiers in the cookie policy. We do not upload our contact list or subscriber list to either of them, and we do not share your enquiry with any other advertiser. When a licence order is placed with Dassault Systèmes on your behalf, the contact details needed for the order are passed to them.
Your rights
Under Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection you may ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, withdraw consent you have given, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive a copy in a usable format. Write to office@acala.co.id with the subject “Personal data” and we will respond within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Indonesian data protection authority.
Cookies
The site uses strictly necessary storage for security and for remembering your consent choice, and measurement or advertising cookies only if you allow them in the notice. The cookie policy names every tag, the company that receives the data, how long each cookie lasts, and how to verify all of it in your own browser. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site’s cookies in your browser, which shows the banner again.
Children
The site is intended for professionals and organisations. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
Changes
We update this policy when our processing changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Substantial changes are announced on this page.
